The 21st Annual Conference and Exhibition

10th April 2013. The ICC Birmingham, UK

Bridges 2013 will feature a series of high-quality presentations from top-level engineers, bridge owners and specialists in the industry; an exhibition showcasing technology and services specific to the bridge engineering and asset management sector.

For over 20 years, Bridges has driven the debate at the heart of the UK's bridge community. In 2012, the remit of the conference was expanded to provide an additional international focus and engender a wider discussion.

In 2013 this high-profile conference and exhibition has been further expanded and improved and promises to be an informative and exciting event. Organised by Surveyor and Bridge design & engineering in collaboration with the UK Bridges Board, Bridges 2013 will provide delegates with 2 streams of sessions from which to choose, covering both the UK and international perspectives.

CIHT-CPDSurveyor's Bridges 2013 conference and exhibition has been awarded Continued Professional Development (CPD) status by the Charted Institution of Highways & Transportation for the first time. This means delegates attending the event can earn recognition of CPD that could go towards their training and development.

This year's Bridges 2013, taking place at the ICC in Birmingham on April 10 is running both UK and international conference streams simultaneously bringing delegates a wealth of opportunity to increase their knowledge on the latest bridge management and maintenance projects from around the world. Conference sessions include strategic bridge risk and infrastructure resilience, carbon composites-the future, practical applications of assessments and major project reports and case studies on the Walton Bridge in Surrey, the Forth Crossing, the Forth Road Bridge, the Izmit bridge in Turkey and bridges in France and the Czech Republic.
